Stalking in Beauty
Macro is my favourite type of photography. It invites us into a world we wouldn’t see. The daddy long legs is not a predator but it looks like one. It is a contrast with the vibrant colours of the flower.

Great Blue Heron Posing — like a boss
The Great Blue Heron was my a white whale for awhile. I wanted to get a good photo of one for awhile. I knew there was one in the Inglewood bird sanctuary and after many visits I caught him.

Northern Flicker taking flight
This is one of my favourite images. It’s a Northern Flicker in flight but the wings are flapping so quickly it created a surreal effect.

March of the Sandpiper
At the Ducks Unlimited Canada Wetlands outside of High River. There is a small population of Sandpipers. They are adorable, I think this is a semi-palmated sandpiper.

Predator in Profile
I apologize I couldn’t keep you alive. This is a form of mortality beyond your own life. RIP Venus.

Home Building without a Licence
This Northern Flicker was pictured in the Spring of 2016 at the Inglewood bird sanctuary. I was trying to imitate a 1991 picture named Woodpecker Action by Benjamin Pöntinen.
