Northern Flicker taking flight

This is one of my favourite images. It’s a Northern Flicker in flight but the wings are flapping so quickly it created a surreal effect.

Home Building without a Licence

This Northern Flicker was pictured in the Spring of 2016 at the Inglewood bird sanctuary. I was trying to imitate a 1991 picture named Woodpecker Action by Benjamin Pöntinen.
